Used a gift card and took the family to see the new Madagascar movie. The first one was enjoyed by all.

The new one was also pretty good. A few things "snuck" in to entertain the parents, but as my kids get older, these little things irritae me more. Kids are smart and not much will get past my 13 year old.

They expanded and played with the most entertaining characters from the first film. the penguins, the old lady and the lemurs.

If you have kids, go see it and odds are you will own it some day.

 

The UK has delivered another great TV series. Dead Set 
Although 5 episodes is hardly a series.
This a zombie movie broken into 5 episodes and stars many Big Brother "stars" from the UK.
It is a great zombie movie and well worth the watch. 

It is on par or better than some I have paid to see on the big screen. The effects are top rate, they don't pull any punches as far as the gore goes.

I recently watched the entire Saw series of movies. They may not be the best movies, but I do enjoy them. I also watched the 3 Final Destination movies. Another enjoyable series.

First the numbers - IMDB & Rotten Tomatoes

This was a very enjoyable comic book movie.  The right amount of laughs and sappy moments.  They did a great job bring in the original TV show & other comic references.

One thing I should note, is see Iron Man first.

Well, I made it through the Americanized version on The Eye last night.

First the public opinions: IMDB  & Rotten Tomatoes

 

I liked this moive for the most part, but I kept waiting for to see some of the cool things that made the original Japanese version so good.  This like most Amercanized versions of Japanese horror never quite hits the same mark.  My only exception to this is The Ring

I watch enough Japanese horror, that if I was a younger man, I would try to learn Japanese.
