It is without a doubt, my least favorite season
I have been running a small business since February of 2001. It has and is going pretty well. (see ProtoCall, LLC)
The problem is that no matter how many deductions you have, you will always have to pay 15% to cover Social Security. I have had problem getting the business to grow enough to pay all of the taxes & have enought for my famliy. I have always fed my family first and worried about the IRS second.
I am running out of time with the IRS. They want the money & they are not pleasent. I have become one of those internet beggers. But I need to take care of my family

]]>This is the first season of 24 that I have watched (I plan to go back and watch season 1 - 3), and I am very impressed.
It is great to have a show with real characters that make tough, real world decisions. Both good & bad guys make the hard, but correct decisions. When Jack robbed the store, when they killed the girl, when the guy martyred himself & when they broke the gas pipe. The were decisions they did not want to make but the knew they had no choice and made them.
I am still amazed how much can happen in one hour, but it does not distract from the show.
One of the most appealing things is the pace of this show, there is no wasted time, if it happens, it is to move the story forward.
At least I don't need much sleep.

]]>Michael Keaton stars in the new thriller. Is is based on the premise of EVP or Electronic voice phenomena. Basically the dead talk to use thru electronic devices. They can be heard by playing recorded sesions on un-tuned TVs or radios.
After the death of his wife Keatons's character tunes into these EVP voices and finds his wife among other things.
The basic idea for this movie is pretty good, although some of it reminded me of The Ring (Ringu) series of movies.
They had some goog "made you jump" scenes & decent characters. This would make a great rental.
I can not recommend spending the money to see this on the big screen, but if you like ghost stories, rent it.
]]>I thought the premise was strange and was not a big Kiefer Sutherland fan.
I DVRed the first 4 episodes of this season, season 4.
I am pretty impressed, I have added this show to my watch list. (like I need to watch more TV)
The writing is nice and tight. Good strong characters that seem to have fully fleshed out backrounds. It has high production & direction values.
Although it is truely amazing what can happen in 1 hour.

]]>The movie Lost Voyage is about a ship that returns from the Bermuda Triangle after 25 years. Judd's charaters parents were on the ship when it disappeared. This is the story of what happens when they get back on the ship.
It was like a car wreck, I just couldn't turn away.
My advice, don't look in the first place.

It seems where things go when then disappear is hell. The ship comes back and it starts killing the people who went to investigate it. A little while later a cloud comes in loaded with evil spirits that suck out peoples souls. Ok then....

I hope you have all been watching the TV show Lost.
It is IMHO, one of the two best dramas on TV today. It has excellent writing & production. An amazing ensemble cast that has eye candy for both men and women.
The male lead is Matthew Fox (Jack), the female lead is Evangeline Lilly(Kate)
The head up a group of people stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere after a plane crash. I was very surprised this show turned out to be as good as it is.
Tune in, you will enjoy it.

Caught the Allison Krauss & Union Station concert on CMT tonight.
She is an outstanding performer, and Union Stion is just as good. Most people would recognize her voice (and the rest of the band) from a couple of sons from the film O Brother Where Art Thou

]]>Part of the package is DISH network.
I have the 522 reciever/DVR. It has two tuners & can tape two shows at once, or tape one while you watch another.
So, I set it up to record all of our shows. Last night it taped Smallville, Lost & Alias.
I started watching lost after it was over on one TV, hit stop & picked up where I left off on a different TV. Very cool.
I look forward to watching this weekend's Packer game with the ability to pause & rewind.
